ADESA has raised more than $1 million for Type 1 diabetes (T1D) research through a partnership with the Ford Global Action Team in support of JDRF, an organization with a mission to discover, develop, and deliver advances to cure, better treat, and prevent T1D.

ADESA auctions and Ford Global Action Team have been partnered in support of this research since 2012, according to the companies. Since then, ADESA and Ford have raised $1,030,505 to further T1D research.

“Thanks to the incredible generosity of our dealers and our employees, we passed the million-dollar mark during this year’s campaign,” said Tom Caruso, KAR's executive vice president and chief client officer.

Each year, some ADESA auction locations engage in a friendly rivalry to see which raises the most money for JDRF. This year, ADESA Indianapolis led the auctions with a total donation of $65,176. In total, six of ADESA’s auctions collectively raised $251,657 this year.
