ALG has named Subaru and Land Rover as having the best overall residual values of the 2018 model year in its annual retail-based analysis, the TrueCar Inc. subsidiary announced.

Subaru was named the top mainstream brand, while Land Rover earned the top premium brand. ALG also recognized vehicles in 26 segments that should retail the highest percentage of their MSRP after a three-year period.

Land Rover has topped the premium category for four consecutive years. Subaru has won the top mainstream brand award for three years in a row.

Among the mainstream categories, Subaru earned five vehicle awards for the Impreza, WRX, Crosstrek, Forester, and Outback. Toyota earned four individual awards for the Highlander, Sequioa, Tundra, and Tacoma. Honda won three for the FIT, Accord, and Odyssey. Fiat Chrysler won two awards for the Dodge Charger and Jeep Wrangler. Kia won for the Niro.

In the premium category, Land Rover won four awards for the Discovery Sport, Discovery, Range Rover Sport, and Range Rover. Mercedes-Benz won three awards for the Sprinter, Metris, and CLA sedan. Other awards went to the Audi Allroad, Genesis G80, Lexus LS, and Porsche 718 Cayman.
