KAR Auction Services, Inc. has created the KAR Remarketing Services operating segment to align its AutoVIN, Dent Demon, High Tech Locksmiths, and PAR North America businesses, the company has announced.
David Vignes has been promoted to the role of president of the new operating segment. He previously served as KAR’s executive vice president of enterprise optimization.
“KAR’s goal is to provide a simplified, seamless experience across its end-to-end remarketing platform,” said Vignes. “The alignment of these businesses allows us to deliver the full range of inspection, recovery, reconditioning, and repair services both in the lanes and on the road.”
In Vignes’ prior position, he oversaw KAR’s enterprise safety efforts and was part of the team that developed KAR’s “Safe T. Sam” program, a program built to promote proper safety procedures at auctions.
As part of this organizational alignment, Lisa Scott, who most previously served as CCO of ADESA Canada, has been named president of PAR North America, according to the company. She will be reporting to Vignes.
PAR North America, one of KAR's businesses, is a provider of vehicle transition services with solutions for recovery management, skip tracing, remarketing, and title services.
