KAR Auction Services, Inc. is hosting the National Auto Auction Association (NAAA) Safety Day at the company’s ADESA Boston auction on July 25, where leaders from NAAA member auctions across the country will learn, listen and exchange best practices about safety risks, according to the company.

Attendants will also tour the ADESA Boston facility to see some of the physical design elements that KAR has implemented in order to improve safety.

"The safety of our employees and our customers has always been a top priority at KAR — and my own personal mission," said Jim Hallett, chairman and CEO of KAR. "After recent events, several independent auctions reached out to us looking for additional best practices on auction safety. We are proud to team with NAAA in uniting our industry and working together to develop innovative, collaborative new approaches to safety."

KAR first partnered with NAAA in 2015 to make KAR’s Safe T. Sam program — which features a series of safety training modules to reduce auction risks — available at no cost to all NAAA member auctions.
