CAR Certification Now Online

The IARA has transitioned the entire CAR Certification testing process to a completely online experience, according to the IARA Certification Committee.

As of early July, there are 138 CAR-certified professionals and 45 actively testing to attain CAR Certification. GM Financial and ARI have been the two biggest CAR certification testers this year.

Looking toward the future, the committee is considering adding a compliance module to the list of CAR education modules. The committee is also collaborating with the Canadian Committee to rewrite aspects of the CAR Certification test modules to better suit Canadian remarketing markets and is seeing its first Canadian graduates coming through the pipeline The IARA certification program is considered the educational standard of excellence in remarketing.

The committee is chaired by Nicole Archer, vice president of Autoniq and Dave Sutton, national director of data acquisition for CARFAX.
