Copart Reaches 200 Auction Locations

Dallas-based Copart Inc. opened its 200th auction location in the Wilmington area of Los Angeles in late March as the company celebrates its 35th anniversary, the company announced.

Copart now maintains 200 global auction locations in 11 countries. Copart reached 100 locations in 2003, including adding its first non-U.S. location in Canada.

"A growing global presence is a win for both our sellers and buyers," said Vinnie Mitz, president of Copart. "For our sellers, it improves cycle time and reduces costs. For our buyers, it increases access to a greater volume and variety of vehicles."

Through Copart’s multiple-channel online platform, sellers are linked to potential buyers, and bidders can view location information, search vehicles, place bids and participate in live online car auctions on their mobile devices, tablets and computers.
