The El Paso-based auction joins other XLerate auctions that reside in Texas, including locations in Dallas and Austin.
“EPI is the latest step in XLerate’s plan to grow our business, footprint, and its service offering by acquiring quality independent sales. Formerly part of the McConkey Auto Group, EPI is highly respected and will be a nice complement to XLerate’s Dallas and Austin-area auctions,” said Cam Hitchcock, XLerate CEO. “This acquisition broadens XLerate’s presence in the robust Texas market and augments our capabilities to service fleet/lease and financial institution customers.”
EPI began in 2011 as part of the McConkey Auction Group. EPI has financial institution, fleet/lease, and dealer consignment sales each Wednesday at its facility. The auction operates a four-lane arena, reconditioning facility, and mechanical shop situated on approximately 16 acres.
“Joining the XLerate Group is exciting for me, and for the EPI auction family. A geographically diverse group of sales like XLerate will provide a wide-range of growth opportunities for our employees,” said Luke Pidgeon, EPI general manager.
Other XLerate Group sales are located in California, Florida, South Carolina, Michigan, and Wisconsin.
