ADESA, a business unit of KAR Auction Services, announced that two of the company’s auctions will change names. Both auctions are in the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, area.

ADESA has two wholesale vehicle auctions: ADESA Pittsburgh in Mercer, Penn., and ADESA PA in York, Penn., and it recently acquired a third auction in the state, Pittsburgh Auto Auction. The recently acquired Pittsburgh Auto Auction is located closer to the Pittsburgh city limits, so the company is renaming the Mercer location.

In June, the auction in Mercer, Pennsylvania, located about an hour north of Pittsburgh, will change its name from ADESA Pittsburgh to ADESA Mercer.

In July, the recently acquired Pittsburgh Auto Auction will change its name to ADESA Pittsburgh. This 200-acre facility is located on the southeast side of Pittsburgh, near the I-70/PA Turnpike intersect. This auction has been in operation for 35 years and offers seven fully automated auction lanes and full-service reconditioning facilities, including a body shop and mechanical shop.

“We’re excited about fully integrating Pittsburgh Auto Auction into our ADESA operations,” said ADESA CEO and President Stéphane St-Hilaire. “We hope that renaming these auction locations will make it simpler for our customers and others doing business with us.”
