Ritchie Bros. to Sell More than 70 Trucks for Wal-Mart
Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers, the world's largest industrial auctioneer, will sell more than 1,400 equipment items and trucks at an unreserved public auction in Chicago on May 30, 2013.
Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers, the world's largest industrial auctioneer, will sell more than 1,400 equipment items and trucks at an unreserved public auction in Chicago on May 30, 2013.
Equipment highlights in the auction include 70-plus truck tractors and 45 trailers from Wal-Mart — every item in the auction will be sold to the highest bidder, regardless of price — without minimum bids or reserve prices. Bids in the auction can be made in person at the auction site, online in real-time at www.rbauction.com, or by placing proxy bids.
"We're proud to offer a large selection of Wal-Mart trucks and trailers among the more than 1,400 items featured in the upcoming Chicago Ritchie Bros. auction," said Ben Arbeiter, Regional Sales Manager, Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers. "Highlights of the trucks include: 32 International Prostar truck tractors, 16 Freightliner Cascadia truck tractors, 11 International 9400I truck tractors, nine Freightliner Columbia truck tractors and more—all trucks are equipped with Auxiliary Power Units (APU) for fuel efficiency and driver comfort. The entire Wal-Mart fleet has been maintained by certified technicians as part of a very proactive and responsive program to keep the trucks ready for the road."
In all, more than 150 truck tractors will be sold in the auction as well as a wide selection of late-model bulk fuel tank trailers. Other equipment highlights in the Chicago auction include more than 10 hydraulic excavators, 15 wheel loaders, 15 dump trucks, 30 loader backhoes, 45 pickup trucks and more.
Wal-Mart has also consigned a selection of trucks and trailers to the upcoming Ritchie Bros. auction in North East, MD on June 4, 2013.
