The 2013 World Automobile Auctioneers Championship will be held Friday April 5, 2013, at 9 a.m. CST. Hosted by Alliance Auto Auction in Waco, Texas, the 25th anniversary event will showcase the world’s best automobile auctioneers and ringmen vying for the coveted titles of World Champion Automobile Auctioneer, World Champion Automobile Ringman and World Champion Team. Contestants from around the world are invited to compete for $12,500 in prize money and the title of "the best in the business."

This year's judges include some of the top names in the auto industry and auctioneer profession: Manheim president, Sandy Schwartz; ADESA president, Tom Caruso; ServNet president, Pierre Pons; National Auto Auction Association president-elect, Jack Neshe; America's Auto Auction remarketing manager, Angela Crooke; National Auctioneers Association president, J.J. Dower; United Country president, Mike Jones; Sanford Auto Dealers Exchange president, Mike Tummenillo; MidAmerica Auction Services president, Ron Christenson; Manheim vice president Barry Roop; BB&T Bank executive vice president, Keith Vegors; and Exeter Finance director, Mike Bohannon.

The 25th anniversary championship is dedicated to auctioneer legend and 1994 World Champion Auto Auctioneer, Gene Radcliffe, for his lifetime of dedicated and unexcelled service as one of the top auto auctioneers in the profession. All former World Champion Auto Auctioneers received a personal invitation to attend, and Gene will be on hand for a special recognition.

Alliance Auto Auction’s regular auction day is Friday, so a large consignment of vehicles and a large buyer/seller turnout are expected.

In a joint statement, Alliance Auto Auction managing partner Tim Adams and World Automobile Auctioneer Championship president Paul C. Behr said, “We invite all automobile auctioneers and ringmen to enter the World Championships. We’ll roll out the red carpet for you, with some special Texas hospitality. See you in Waco.”

Nearly 115,000 viewers tuned in to last year’s broadcast to cheer on their favorite auctioneers & ringmen.
