Scott Kolb of Auction Broadcasting Company, LLC, has received the Certified Auctioneers Institute (CAI) designation, the highest designation in the auction industry held by only 828 auctioneers in the U.S. and Canada.

The CAI designation is an executive education program that is earned and maintained by meeting the standards set by the Auction Marketing Institute (AMI). The program is offered at the Indiana University in Bloomington, IN, and involves three one-week executive education programs over a two-year period.

Auctioneers must qualify for the CAI program, which includes completing all three phases of the program, passing examinations, and preparing an auction summary report. To retain the designation, auctioneers must be good-standing members in the AMI, National Auctioneers Association, and complete at least 24 hours of continuing education every three years.
