IARA Celebrates 15th Anniversary at 2016 Summer Roundtable
With Canadian membership its fastest growing segment, the IARA wanted to give credence to the “International” part of its name by holding its first Roundtable Conference outside the U.S.
The International Automotive Remarketers Alliance (IARA) celebrated its 15th anniversary in Toronto with its annual Summer Roundtable. The conference was held Aug. 9 to 11 at the Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel in Toronto.
This was the first time that the conference was hosted in Canada.

“Canada is the fastest growing segment of IARA, so celebrating IARA’s 15th anniversary in Toronto seemed very fitting,” said Tony Long, executive director of IARA.
The Roundtable featured three keynote speakers: Carlos Gomes, senior economist for Scotiabank, Kristi Webb, CEO of Element Fleet Management, and legendary Michael “Pinball” Clemons of the Canadian Football League and who was inducted into the Canadian Football Hall of Fame in 2008.
The educational sessions compared remarketing best practices in both the U.S. and Canadian wholesale used-vehicle markets.
