Ron Hope, president/CEO of Capital Automotive Reconditioning Services (CARS Recon, Inc.)  announced a major management realignment to the organization, appointing Kay Hudson as Chief Operating Officer. The change took effect on Sept. 1, 2014.

Hudson had been serving as the company’s senior vice president of operations. She joined the operation in 2008 as the company’s Human Resources director. 

“Kay’s extraordinary leadership ability and her previous assignments at CARS make her ideally suited for her new role as Chief Operating Officer,” said Hope in making the announcement. He explained that with this new assignment, Hudson will oversee auction operations, training, employee development, Human Resources, and new product Initiatives.

 “I am looking forward to this new chapter in my professional life,” said Hudson.  “We have an outstanding field staff of managers and employees at CARS, whose support will be invaluable to me as I assume these new responsibilities as company COO. I am eager to work with all of them as we refine our operations and expand the company’s presence in the marketplace.” 

CARS Recon Inc. is headquartered in Franklin, TN, and specializes in providing services to the auto auction industry, including vehicle detailing, paint and body repair, vehicle condition reporting, mechanical inspections and repair, and operational consulting. Working at 28 locations and with 35 operating units spread across the United States, CARS processed more than 700,000 vehicles in the calendar year 2013.
