CARY, NC - CarMark Certified Pre-Owned, a leading third-party vehicle certification program, announced that it is expanding its offerings in order to provide more flexibility for its dealer base.
The CarMark Certified program originally included two types of limited warranty - a 72-month/100-mile powertrain limited warranty for vehicles with less than 60,000 miles at the time of sale or a 12-month/12,000-mile powertrain limited warranty for vehicles with more than 60,000 miles at the time of sale.
Responding to dealer requests, CarMark Certified now offers the 12/12 warranty for all eligible vehicles with up to 100,000 miles on the odometer. The 12/12 warranty still includes the key CarMark benefits to the consumer, including 24/7 emergency roadside assistance, tire and wheel road hazard protection, rental car reimbursement, trip interruption protection, and more. In addition, the 12/12 warranty offers add-on and upgrade opportunities for dealers and customers.
"We believe that the expansion of the 12/12 warranty option enables dealers to tailor the CarMark Certified program to meet their unique needs," said Bill Zadeits, managing director for CarMark. "We are excited to be able to respond to industry requests in this way so that we can create a program that meets the needs of all dealers - franchise, former franchise and independent alike."
"In just the first couple of weeks since we've launched our new terms and expanded guidelines, there has been significant activity from our existing dealers, as well as from new franchised and independent dealers who are focused on creating a competitive advantage," said Walt Burns, national brand manager for CarMark. "We're excited to offer the CarMark Certified Pre-Owned program that impacts all profit centers of a dealership."
