FLINT, MI – Two promotional sales at Flint Auto Auction brought buyers to the lanes in droves, all pointing to renewed enthusiasm among buyers and an upswing in the spring market in the upper Midwest.

Flint Auto Auction’s general manager Lawrence Cubitt reports that the auction’s Chrysler Financial Sale on March 31st was one for the record books, with a total consignment of 771 units which included 169 In Lane Edge units.

“We sold 111 In-Lane Edge units, which sets a record for In-Lane Edge vehicles sold in one day,” noted Cubit, explaining that In-Lane Edge vehicles are consigned to the Chrysler Financial lane by new and used dealers. It was tremendously successful sale that tells us that there is definitely momentum building in the market at Flint Auto Auction!”

Cubitt said that Chrysler Financial sells every week at Flint Auto Auction, offering approximately 380 vehicles every Wednesday.

Flint Auto Auction also hosted one of the auction’s most highly anticipated events of the year on Wednesday, April 14: the annual Corvettes and Classics Sale, when the auction ran more than 200 Corvettes, 100 specialty units and 100 classic vehicles in conjunction with its regular weekly consignment sale.

Attending dealers received a commemorative Flint Auto Auction Corvettes and Classics T-Shirt. They also enjoyed a gourmet breakfast served in the lane starting at 7:30 am. To launch the sale, drawings were held for two leather Corvette jackets. At the end of the day, auction customers crowded the auction arena hoping that they would be the winner of the coveted grand prize: a 1995 yellow Corvette coupe. All dealers buying and selling at the auction between March 17 and April 14 qualified for the drawing.

“Everyone looks forward to the Corvettes and Classics sale at Flint Auto Auction all year long,” said Flint Auto Auction owner John Luce. “We have a great time getting ready for it and the excitement on auction day is tremendous. This year, more 1,191 dealerships were in attendance, and we ran more than 200 Corvettes followed by 100 classic cars. By sale’s end, more than 2,200 cars and trucks had crossed the block, including consignments from Chrysler Financial, consignor, consignor and area new and used car dealers.”
