AUBURN HILLS, MI - Chrysler LLC Remarketing and ADESA, a leading provider of auctions and related services for North America's automotive industry, recently announced a new partnership.

ADESA will now host the automaker's new Chrysler Direct used vehicle Web site, http://www.chryslerdirect.com/. Formally branded as DC Direct, Chrysler Direct is Chrysler Remarketing's online venue for Chrysler, Jeep(R) and Dodge franchised dealers. Utilizing this site, these dealers can view and purchase Chrysler's used vehicle fleet portfolio of products prior to these vehicles being offered to dealers at company closed auctions. Chrysler's affiliated auction network includes ADESA, Manheim and several independent auction houses.

"The new Chrysler Direct Web site offers state-of-the-art functionality and convenience to our dealers," Steven Solomon, Chrysler's National Closed Auction Manager said. "We obtained significant dealer input while working with ADESA to upgrade the site."

Used vehicles posted on Chrysler Direct are sale-ready vehicles that are available outside of live auction sale times in a "Buy Now" or "Bidding" environment. This portfolio of vehicles consists primarily of off-rental and company lease vehicles.

In addition to the enhanced online experience, Chrysler, Jeep or Dodge dealers will now have access to a centralized call center and administrative staff located at the ADESA corporate headquarters in Carmel, Ind.

"We are pleased to expand our partnership to serve Chrysler Remarketing both in the physical and virtual auction world," Nicole Guio, ADESA's Senior Manager of eBusiness said. "Chrysler Direct provides dealers with a consistent easy-to-use Web site, as well as a centralized support staff ready to assist with each dealer's online purchasing needs."

In addition to Chrysler Direct, ADESA hosts the technology and operations for the upstream dealer product, Chrysler First. The Chrysler First Web site offers franchised dealers first pick at program cars located in Chrysler marshalling yards.

Chrysler offers one of the most comprehensive Certified Pre-owned Vehicle programs in the industry. For a vehicle to be certified under Chrysler's used- vehicle program, it must be a 2002 through 2007 model pre-owned vehicle with less than 65,000 miles and pass a stringent 125-point mechanical, safety and condition standard inspection. Chrysler CPO vehicles are backed by an eight- year/80,000-mile powertrain limited warranty, 24-hour, 365-day full roadside assistance with a $35 per day rental car allowance and a three-month or 3,000- mile Maximum Care warranty, in addition to a Carfax Vehicle History Report and buyback guarantee.

Marketed as "Brand Spankin' Used(R)" Chrysler CPO vehicles are sold only through Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge dealerships that have earned the automaker's Five Star(R) certification. Five Star certification is a comprehensive validation of the dealership's facilities, operational processes, salesperson and technician training accreditation as well as customer satisfaction survey ratings. Approximately 2,000 Chrysler dealerships in the United States are certified Five Star dealers.
